first you should configure the tomcat
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-4.1-doc/ssl-howto.html
second you should write a program in java for acess any file using https(localhost)
For this you should use the generated: keystore and a certificate, for the authentication(this is do in pass 1).
if you are able to generate a certificate tell me, because I are not

Salam Ahmed,
Are you trying to establish a SSL connection between the HTML client and the Web Server, or between the servlet and some backend server (broker) ?

Both....
first, between HTML browser and the web server..
second, between an applet and the web server...
the web server need to know the identity of the client, through client certificate.
