Hi,
I was wondering what would happen during the following scenario using FTP:
1) I have a file on my webserver.
2) I upload a file with the exact same name to the same directory, thus overwriting the original file.
3) during transmission, the FTP-connection fails (for whatever reason).
Now, what do I end up with on the server? The original file, the corrupted new file or perhaps no file at all?
Anybody?

What happens is, I think, not specified by the FTP protocol. As a consequence you're at the mercy of the FTP server implementation. I would count on having either a corrupted file or no file at all.
Veel plezier,
