Hi,
I have a scenario to connect to a remotely running Borland Application server 4.5 from a remotely running JRun 3.0 webserver. Can you suggest me how i can test the connectivity to the application server if i have the IP Address and Port id of the application server either using JRun or any other method.

you could telnet to the host and port, see if it connects. or create a jsp/servlet/java app that does the same thing.

Hi Jon,
Thanks for your suggestion. felt happy to see atleast one response for my query.
I tried testing the connectivity using the following ways:
(1) telnet
(2) Using OSAGENT
But, still not able to connect. I would like to know how a request to an Application server will be processed in the Application server. What are all the ports it uses internally for serving that request? Are there any Standards for Application Server comunication protocols and Ports. Please provide me the information if you have any.
