Hello:
I have the following requirement.
I have a domain, for example, 'apogent.com' and I need to find out domain name servers for this domain. Also, I need to find out the ip addresses for this domain.
However, I have been asked not to retrieve this information using whois, because whois might not provide me with the most accurate information.
Pls explain to me on how should I proceed or if anyone has an example, kindly help me out.
I started to read about the dns service provider for jndi this morning, I am unable to understand most of it so far, there is no example in the tutorial that will help me to understand that issue.
Pls help with any examples or tutorials if any.
Thanks a lot,

You can do this using the nslookup command from the console. If you are looking for a pure Java alternative check out the DNS classes available in iNet Factory online at http://www.jscape.com
