can the java application simulate the browser runing  RSS feed

can a java class simulate browser run?

urlName="http://somewebsite.asp";
URL url = new URL(urlName);
HttpURLConnection connection=null;
connection=(HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection();
/
is that above the codes are as same as we open the webbrowse "http://somewebsite.asp"
can someone give me some example?

Hi lyf,
Welcome to JavaRanch. About the closest thing you have in the core Java API is the JEditorPane class, but it's somewhat buggy and I'm pretty sure it doesn't support scripting. If you just need to display static HTML sent from some URL, then it will probably serve your purpose.
