Hello all!

i'm confronted with this situation :
- i want to connect to a FTP server
- i'm behind WinGate which has configured a WWW service, FTP Service, and SOCKS service
- for connecting to proxy i have myProxyUser/myProxyPass
- for connecting to the FTP server i have myFtpUser/myFtpPass
- i use j2sdk1.4.2_04

Can anyone point me the right direction to get this done? Puhhhlease!!!

For now this is what i got

of course, everything works fine when i'm not behind the proxy
but when i am (who invented those proxies anyway??) i got different exceptions:
- java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host: connect (raised by PlainSocketImpl in socketConnect method)
- java.net.SocketException: Connection reset (raised by SocketInputStream)
- java.net.SocketException: Malformed reply from SOCKS server (raised by SocksSocketImpl with the stack: connect, connectV4, readSocksReply)

i got different exceptions because i juggle with different System.properties:

i also tried setting a new default Authenticator

before trying to connect to the FTP

obviously something is missing or something is done in the wrong way
but i don't know what, in fact that is why i'm here, hoping there is some GURU around who can help me

any help will be, of course, highly appreciated and rewarded with a SPAM of "thanks"
