Hi

Hoping to get help with this small problem that i have. I have created a client server socket and the code is complete. I am running this on a stand alone machine. I need the client to be able to call a file from the server and i need the server to get the file and display it to the client. The file name is be specified not args[] I need to be able to check if the information is correct or incorrect. Its basically a questionare with answers been sent back, to the server

Cheers

You should take a gander at the Java Tutorial: Custom Networking trail. Specifically the part on Writing a Client-Server Pair. What you want to do is create a protocol to give your server requests some context so the server can do the right thing.
