I am trying to use a java program to emulate a form submission and having some trouble. I can validate an xml document against an xml-schema using http://apps.gotdotnet.com/xmltools/xsdvalidator/Default.aspx

I am trying to do that automatically form my program. I have ERH's book, and have used it as well as two applications I have found from the net:
ClientHttpRequest by Vlad Patryshev and
HTTPClient by Ronald Tschal´┐Żr

However, i can't get either to complete the job. I can get the basic form downloaded, and I try to set the parameters and the file choices, but the response comes back with only the basic form, without the validating results I get if I use the form manually. The ERH book goes into a lot more detail, but doesn't seem to get all the way to multi-part encoding and submitting files as well as parameters with the POST method. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

For the format of multipart MIME messages I would first suggest looking at RFC 1541 which describes the MIME protocol. This is a bit lengthy but it may help. Also look at RFC 867 which describes the HTTP file upload message format.
