I want to meauser latency using a Client Server Program through a Socket.
What I have to do is:
Sending a 0-byte, 1-byte, 2-byte, ... and replying back the same message through server and calculate the time.
I just want to know if I send these Strings through the network:
String string1 = "";
String string2 = "A";
String string3 = "AB";
does it mean that I am sending 0-byte , 16-byte, 32-byte messages?
If not please let me know how can I define those messages?
Thanks

I think that rather than sending an object, I would try to send primitives.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
