hello,
any one can plz tell me reg. java socketprogramming evolution...
is this concept is new or it has been copied from unix c programming...???
if copied then how did they implemented it in java is it by using native methods'

can anyone justify this ???

Apparently sockets are a BSD innovation, but I think they would be available in any "networkable" OS. Since they are very low level there must be some native code behind the workings, but having worked with both, I prefer the Java abstraction of sockets over the Unix C API.
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
