I connect to the internet using a dialup connection (download speed 1 kbps) and I try to send a live captured video to my other computer through the internet. But the IP I am transmitting to is not a normal IP. It is a dynamic IP given by the ISP to the ADSL router at my home net work (I have 2 computers and ADSL inter net connection at home)
First I thought that this will not work because I am listing from a computer behind the router (in side LAN)
While chatting I fond out that what I thought is wrong and that Av files work. But it takes a long time to identify the sender. So I change the default send and receive values (60 seconds to 6000 seconds) and retried. After about 3 minutes this massage showed on the receiver side A new participant had just joined: ok4@sameera And keep on waiting I wait for about 10 to 15 minutes but the video never showed up.
But only ones only the first frames show on the receiver side and nothing else.
1.what is wrong with this I dont think it is an a error with code (it worked fine in LAN) 2.is it a problem with the connection(transmitting from a dialup connection with 1 kbps download speed) 3.is the connection I am testing video transfer is too slow, then what is the minimum speed I need to test this 4.a friend of mine told me that by reducing the frame rat I might get video but I couldnt find a place to change the frame rate 5.the AV files is capable of sending files can you tell me the dos command I must type to send the file. Simply replacing the vfw://0 with file:filename give a couldnt create datasink error 6.then I try the AVTransmit3.java file by typing java AVTransmit3 192.168.101.8 42050 file:filename but it give a error D:\Sharing\New_JMF>java AVTransmit3 192.168.101.8 42050 file:/p1.mpeg Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "file:/p1.mpeg" at java.lang.NumberFormatException.forInputString(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Integer.parseInt(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Integer.valueOf(Unknown Source) at AVTransmit3.<init>(AVTransmit3.java:63) at AVTransmit3.main(AVTransmit3.java:414)
