UDP SOCKET IN TWO SEPARETE TERMINAL

I have written UDP client nad server socket programs through java on windows98/xp platform.Now when I am running the programs in two different windows on same machine it is running fine but once I am running the programs in two different system conected over LAN then there is no frame exchange. When I change the protocol to TCP/IP the program is running fine in diffent PCS over LAN. Anybody facing same problem??pls help.

Do you have a small sample of code which exhibits this behavior? I'd think that iff TCP works, UDP should.

Maybe a UDP block in the firewall?
