WE ARE DOING OUR FINAL YEAR PROJECT BUT AS WE INTEND TO USE THE RS-232 PORT
WE AINT BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD JAVA COMM API..PLEASE ANY ONE WHO HAS GOT THIS SEND AS THE PACKAGE JAVA COMM API.

I managed to track down the windows version which I'll email. the linux/sun versions are available form the comm api site.

The windows version hasnt been supported by sun since they had a little spat with microsoft from what Ive heard, so dont expect tech support with it, although there are lots of tutorials available. The one I have comes with great doccumentation and examples.

For future reference, the Windows implementation version 2 of javax.comm linked from the Java I/O FAQ.

And please don't shout in all uppercase letters - it is considered quite rude all over the net.
