hi everyone

can anybody tell me how can i apply HTTPS in my JSP application?

please share your views

If you are asking how to force your JSP to be accessed through https protocol then you have to set the transport-guarantee in user-data-constraint element in web.xml to either CONFEDENTIAL or INTEGERAL. Take a look at web-app DTD or XSD for complete syntax

The details vary depending on which server you use. For Tomcat, the documentation is rather elaborate.

i m using jdk1.3 so i have downloaded jsse1.0.3


(1)then i have installed jsse as extension

placed all three jar files in %javahome%/jre/lib/ext
(2)i generated a keystoke certificate using keytool of jdk1.3

(3)then i have made changes in server.xml i.e.uncommented the driver for https


i have followed above procedure as mentioned on link given by u but still i m not getting the tomcat home page when i write

https://localhost:8443
