I've written a process to post attachements to a HTTPS site. However, I wrote the code so that as long as I get a 200 response I know it is a successful post.

When I use cURL, I get exceptions back if the files I posted have an issue. I'm not getting any exceptions in my current process.

How do you recommend I write the code so that I can successfully communicate with the server and post but if there is an issue with the post I get the exception? Now I just know that I successfully posted files, I don't know if the files I posted have an issue b/c I've already shut the connection.

I used .

Http response codes 5xx are used to indicate to the client about the server errors. So you can return one of those codes from the server whenever the file uploded could not be processed successfully.
