A popular FTP library is Jakarta Commons Net. You'll be better off not doing this in a JSP page, though, but in a servlet or a backing bean. JSPs are for displaying output, and flow control and exception handling really should not be part of it.

Hi Ulf,
Thank you for your help.I downloaded following jar files and I compile the programme successfully.
jakarta-regexp-1.4.jar
jakarta-regexp.jar
commons-net-1.4.1.jar
ftp.jar.
But I got follwing run time error::
"main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/oro/text/regex/MalformedPatter.

Can U please tell me how can I fix this problem.
Thanks a lot.

All of the jar files you downloaded need to be in the classpath. Apparently one of them is missing (or maybe mistyped) when you try to execute the code.
