I am using Jakarta's commons.net package to FTP files from remote to local server.

I am periodically getting the following exception ...

Writing BrandFile.txt to raw_files/moteng/BrandFile.txt
at java.net.SocketInputStream.read(SocketInputStream.java:168)
at java.io.BufferedInputStream.read1(BufferedInputStream.java:256)
at java.io.BufferedInputStream.read(BufferedInputStream.java:317)
at java.io.BufferedInputStream.fill(BufferedInputStream.java:218)
at java.io.BufferedInputStream.read(BufferedInputStream.java:237)
org.apache.commons.net.telnet.TelnetInputStream.__read(TelnetInputStream.java:114) org.apache.commons.net.telnet.TelnetInputStream.run(TelnetInputStream.java:535)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:619)

Sometimes it works fine and sometimes it throws this exception.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!

Never mind ...

Rebooted my PC and everything was OK.

Probably a hanging connection or something.

Thanks All ...
