Hi,
I am using for some time MICO CORBA, for a project, and I am satisfied. Now I am planning to switch from BOA to POA, to make the project portable across ORBs, but I fail to get the details of the differences between object reference (BOA) and Object IDs (POA). I know what an object reference does (what is used for and how), because MICO has a iordump utility, but what about ObjectIDs ? Is there any tool for extracting information from it ? Is it persistent across invocations ? Any link to a good tutorial on POAs would be also appreciated -- I checked on cetus-links Schmidt&Vinovski but I am not very satisfied.
Thank you,
Cata Lin.
