A RMI program works fine with an applet in the client side in appletviewer. But when working with a IE browser directly it doesn't work.why? When working with an Netscape browser through a webserver it works, but fails when working the same with IE.why?
Cos Microsoft didn't include all the correct classes for RMI in their JAva version included with IE. Obviously Netscape did. There are various ways around this. Download the Java Plugin. Download the fixes from microsoft. Don't use IE. Use RMI transported via servlets. Chris
