rmiregistry

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi all,
I am trying to write my first rmi application,
and am stumbling on the rmiregistry. when I try
to start it by typing "rmiregistry", it spews out
a lot of exceptions, the first one somthing about
not being able to find port 1099. strangely, the same command
works fine in my office pc.
? thanks!

maybe your PC at home does not have the TCP/IP services that rmi needs. try installing the same TCP/IP services you have at the office in your home PC.
