Accessing Data Using Foxpro from Corba  RSS feed

I want to access the stored procedures and functions in foxpro using corba.Can v do it its very urgent can u xpalian me how v can do.

Hi,
You can write a java program to make a call to the procedure/function in foxpro or any other database. You need to use JDBC for this. Then you can call this java function using corba. You cannot directly call the function using corba since there is no direct mapping between SQL and idl. So you need to first write the idl file with a function which makes a call to the stored procedure. compile this to get stubs and skeletons. Derive an implementation class from the skeleton and make a call to the stored from inside it.
