Hi all,
IIOP is communication protocol. I.E. we can communicate with the server applications with this.
So on what connection protocol does this work.
Is it TCP/IP ?
Thanks a lot.

IIOP assumes TCP/IP is underlying. There is a GIOP, General Inter-Orb protocol that only assumes the underlying transport mechanism is reliable.

You don't really need to know how IIOP works, just know that CORBA ORBS talk to each other using the GIOP protocol and those messages are transmitted using IIOP, which in turns uses TCP/IP. However keep in mind these are only the mandatory protocols for CORBA ORBS, they can also use others
