Now the question is; Every time I run client, it just stop at "Naming.lookup(url)" and said "java.rmi.UnexpectedException,nested exception is:null ". 1,server and client are running on the same machine;
2,all the classes are in same path;
3,the same program ran successfully under win98/2000;
4,the rmiregistry and server ran successfully too under RedHat 7.1

Hi,
Yor are the only guy I found to do rmi under linux platform.
I can't get what u mean, I myself have been upset by rmi under linux. My server and client can run successfuly in the same machine only, when they locate in different PCs, exceptions turn out. Where did u post previous questions?

Hi,mala,nice to meet u.
I don't why I met this kind of question. I think maybe my os lost some parts for RMI. But I my program run successfully on windows both in the same machine and in different machines.The most headache thing is that I must perform this project on Linux.
:-(
