I wanna make a editor which container a file explore
1.i use a JSplit widge
2.put a JTabbedPane widge on the left of the JSplit widge
3.put a JPanel widget on the JTabbedPane.
4.put a JScrollPane widge on the JPanel
5.put a JTree on the JScrollPane widget.
my question is when i click the nodes on the JTree widget,the widget alway change its size auto.I have put the JTree widget in the JScrollPane widget already,I am puzzled why it's size be changed auto not but appear vertical scrollbar?

i have no choice..because after i post topics on swing/jfc board..no one answer me at all.
i love this board,there are so many experts and warm-hearted people can resolve my puzzles.

Hi Niu,
Have you tried working through other code examples that use JTree and JScrollPane? Maybe comparing them to your own code will help you find a solution. Here are a few links that might help:
