Hi all,could you tell me what's wrong with me java.policy file.
grant{
permission java.net.socketPermission "* :1024-65535"."connect.accept";
permission java.net.socketPermission "* :80","connect";
};
when I run the RMI server with:
java -Djava.rmi.server.codebase=file:/d:\myprogs\rmi/ -Djava.rmi.
server.hostname=192.168.10.60 -Djava.security.policy=java.policy. engine.Compute
Engine
it pop up this error:
java.security.Policy: error parsing file :/Myprogs/rmi/java.policy
java.security.Policy: line 2: expected ';', found '.'

Hi Nick,
you should separate permissions by "," (comma), not "." (dot).
So your policy file should look like this:
