Hallo everybody, I am calling a remote method in RMIServer from one of my ejb's. When there is no problem with RMIServer then the method returns the values with in no time. If there is any problem with the server then my application hangs, by trying to reach the server. Is there any JVM parameter(for timeout) which i can set for my EJBServer so that it throws a timeoutException after certain time. Thanks in advance, bye, vamsi.

I'm not aware about any of these. When I had similar problem I had to implement timed call to RMI server.
Now how to use it:
This worked perfectly even when I simulated crash of Remote server JVM Hope this helps.
