hello forum, beeing my first post here, this might seem trivial to some, but damnit, it's getting on my nerves..
first of all, what i'm trying to do is using dynamic loading of stub files located on my server machine, from my client machine..
deployment as follows:
server machine:
- a running tomcat 4.1 with the exerciseSeverImpl_stub.class located tomcat ../webapps/download/<packagestructure>/ folder.
- exerciceServerImpl.class and exerciceInterface.class located in a seperate <packagestructure> under my classpath
client machine:
- exerciceClient.class located in a seperate <packagestructure> under my classpath
When I'm running the app, I first start the tomcat server.
Then I start rmiregistry on the server like this, using a .bat:
set classpath=
rmiregistry
Then I start the exerciceServerImpl like this, including a codebase, using a .bat:
java -Djava.rmi.server.codebase=http://localhost:8080/download/ <pakcagestructure>.exerciceServerImpl
So far so good...
But when i start the client, using the right ip-adress and all:
java -Djava.security.policy=<policyfilename>.policy <packagestructure>ExerciceClient
I get an UnmarshallException blah, blah, ClassNotFoundException blah, blah
It says the stub can not be found.
Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
Thanks

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
