hi friends
does RMI work behind firewall?
whats the difference between RMI Object and Ordinary Java Object?
in RMI can we pass objects as parameters?
Help Needed for these qns

1-yes, it should. you just have to open a hole for the RMI port in the firewall.
2-an object you want to pass with RMI needs to be serializable
3-yes absolutely

Well you would have to set up your firewall so it would allow a network request on your RMI port(1099 by default) to pass through to the computer you had set up as your server. I don't know your firewall setup so I can't be any more specific than that.
