Multiple requests will come in to Server1 and Server1 needs to use Server2 which inturn processes these requests and returns them back to Server1 and then Server1 returns them to individual client browsers.
My thought is to use RMI and run a RMI Registry & the Server Implementation on Server2. Then, run the Client Implementation on Server1. When multiple browser clients hit server1 with their requests, multiple client instances of RMI will be spawned on Server1, which in turn will call remote methods...generating multiple server objects...which will go and get their stuff done and return to the clients.
Is this possible with RMI ??
Any input would be appreciated ! Thanks

yeah sure. Run an RMI server on 1 that is a client of an RMI server on 2. Just pass the requests through. If you do it right, you could probably use the same Remote interface for both servers.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
