Hi,
I have worked in EJB. I have no idea about the significance of using IIOP
protocol instead of RMI . Also what is JRMP protocol?

JRMP is RMI's "native" protocol, the one it uses by default.
The IIOP protocol was originally defined by the Object Management Group as part of the CORBA specification, and so using IIOP with RMI allows RMI to interoperate with CORBA on some level (less of a useful level than is generally presumed, actually.)

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
