Hi,
I have a code tht uses RMI.It is a creditcardprocessormodule thtis activated by a timer at a particular time and this module calls the creditcardprocessor class tht does the creditcard authorization.Ihave a bat file one for the creditcardprocessor to reigster it with the registry and the other for the creditcardprocessormodule to register to registry. However the creditcardprocesssor module cant find the registry and gives connect exception while the creditcardprocessor registers without any problem. Can someone give a solution to this problem.

Make sure that when you start the rmiregistry you have 'unset' the classpath in that JVM. set CLASSPATH= or setenv for Solaris...

Any reason why you aren't starting the registry from inside your code? Makes it a lot cleaner when you have to restart your program. You won't get errors thrown about duplicate registries being opened on the same port.
