CORBA help!!!!!!!

Friends I just have some critical doubts regarding CORBA :
1.Can CORBA be used to transmit HTML pages? Say in a tutorial package a client requests for a particular chapter,can the server respond by sending the html page which then can be fixed to a JEditPane on the client side?
2.Can CORBA be used to transmit audio and video files over the network?
These need to be answered if I have to proceed with my project. Please kindly help me out! If the above 2 cases are possible then please explain how?

i guess that you can transform any file ( .html .zip .wav ... )
to a byte array and send this byte array
