I just readed some papers about JXTA.. what different this bring comparing JMX/Jini?
Basicly i can't see no difference.
Only different api, new good looking marketing stuff, new document's to read, new technical terms, new problems to configure firewall... but basicly does it do same thing as JMX/Jini?

One common view that I've heard is this -

Jini says, "The protocols don't matter, the platform is what matters"
JXTA says, "The platform doesn't matter, the protocol is what matters"

I'm not that familiar with JXTA myself, but found some interesting observations on this page of JXTA Thoughts.
