Hi,

I am using JBuilder X, with JDK 1.4.x.
When i try to compile my idl, it prompts a warning message :

"MyIdl.idl" <visibroker dir>/bin/idl2java: .exe must be in your path

I tried to run idl using the command line it still returned the same error.

But if i compile using JBuilder3 with JDK 1.3.x, i don't have any problem.

Thanks, i really need to solve this problem by the end of this week.

You can change your user name here.

Not sure myself, since I don't use CORBA or JBuilder, but the idl compiler that is shipped with the 1.4 JDK is called "idlj" and it's in the bin directory of the JDK. I think JBuilder usually ships with Visibroker, which may be why JBuilder is trying to use it for compiling idl files... see if it's installed, and see if it's in your "PATH" environment variable, or if you need to do anything to set it up in JBuilder.

Thanks! and welcome to the JavaRanch!
