Windows XP - Oracle8.1.5 - RMI

Hi Guys

In our application we are using RMI server running in Windows 2000 Server Which gets data From Oracle8.1.5. Our client applications are running in Windows XP and Windows 2000 professional.

When more clients are connected and trying to access data from server sometimes in some XP clients I am getting the connection Refused error (i.e.) i could not access the server Objects in my client applications.

Can any body clear me Whether is there any link between OS and DB and RMI or have I to use some other techniques to resolve this?

This could be an issue with multiple things, such as different versions of Java on the clients, but I'm betting that since you specifically mentioned Windows XP, it's because the built-in software firewall that came with Windows XP Service Pack 2...
