Hi,

I just started working on RMI i dont know the difference between Naming and Registry.
As we can bind remote object through Naming.rebind static method as well as Registry reg = Registry.getRegistry("hostname");
Awaiting for reply.

Hi ,

A Registry is an interface that provides the methods supported by
registry implementation. rmiregistry program provides such
implementation. The Naming class provides (static) methods to bind ,
unbind , list and lookup Remote server objects. Naming class uses
LocateRegistry to find a registry on the specified machine and port.

Bottom line: Use Naming.lookup().
