hello everybody,

i have been able to run on dame machine rmi client and server
(javac *.java
rmic ...
rmiregistry
sever
client)
but i have been unable to run on two different machines
my friend had the (client.class,stub and interface files and
he typed in
java client my_machine_name/ip address
but it gave rmi.connect exception
i asked my another friend to run client and he received unknown host exception)
can anyone tell me how to do it using two different machines
plz

For unknown host exception:
Ensure that your friend is able to ping your IP/machine before running the RMI client.

For ConnectException:
This usually happens when the host/server app is not listening where it's intended to. Ensure that your RMI registry on server is started and client is looking up through the port where server/registry is listening.
