Hi,

I am new to JSF. I want to know good open source reference implementations available for JSF.

I know myfaces but i think it does not have enough custom components defined? I really need to define custom components in my app. Is is very hard to define custom components like tabs ?

Thanks

This link mentions few existing implementations.
Sun RI and My-faces are probably the most famous ones. Both provides references for Tabs implementations. My-faces, if I am not wrong, has tab component, whereas SUN RI provides sample tab component which you might need to customize a bit in order to use it.
