Hi all,
I have doubt regarded to deployment descriptor file. When i write the program of filtering i will have to make the change in web.xml.
I made the particular changes & ran my application. But problem is that changes in web.xml files are not reflecting. Is there any proper way/procedure to make the change in web.xml file???.
means once i make the change in web.xml file, what is the procedure to start my web application??Should i shutdown my server & then i would have to restart the server again??

Thanx

Its not a JSF question.

You need to reload the context/web application after changing the deployment descripter. Some servers like Tomcat automatically do so.
