Hi, I want to assign an actionListener to a selectOneMenu component, such that when the user selects an item in the drop down list the form submits and the event listener in a backing bean is called, but the component selectOneMenu doesnt seem to take an attribute for this, how do I solve this?

Seb,

You might want to consider investing in a JSF book. JSF in Action by Kito D. Mann and Core JSF are excellent choices. It's not that we mind answering you questions. I mean, it's what we do around here. But for your sake, questions like this can be answered in 5 seconds from a book whereas you waited over 3 hours to get the answer from here.

Again, not trying to discourage you from asking questions. I just don't like seeing people wasting valuable coding time by waiting for answers that are easily accessible through other resources.

Thanks Anshar, thanks Gregg!

(I actually order Mann's book a week ago, it seems like it takes some time to get it to this part of the world though.)

I always get the E-Book as well so I at least have something to read until the hard copy gets to me.
