This might belong in the Job Discussion forum, however it is specific to JSF so I thought it would get more attention here.

I've been doing a bit of job research for the last several weeks. While I realize that a lot of us are currently using JSF in our current jobs for whatever reason, it seems that the job market isn't looking for JSF developers specifically just yet. In fact, some hiring managers I've run into don't even know what JSF is.

Any opinions or comments on this? Is it different outside of the states? Am I not looking in the right places?

Not necessarily true for all contiguous 50, but fewer and fewer openings are public domain any more. However, if you query "agents" the picture isn't that grim: 3 hot ones in S. MD ~50/h on W2.

Afa, mgrs, well, they can't see technology peculiarities, having a "100 mi" view.

Of course, this is very subjective ...

It's pretty much same in India and not surprising since Indian market is tightly coupled with that of US. I have just seen couple of small firms asking for JSF.
Probably it will require another year of two till we are going to see JSF openings
