using Oracle JDeveloper...
wizard creates the following in jsp file......

<h:selectManyMenu
binding="#backing_chemDataEntry.selectManyMenu1}"
id="selectManyMenu1">
<f:selectItems value="#{compatibilityGroup.compatGrps}"
binding="#{backing_chemDataEntry.selectItems2}"
id="selectItems2"/>
</h:selectManyMenu>

the page is rendered, the corrrect list of items is available,
but there is no drop down and only shows one item at a time,
this makes it difficult for the user to know what they've
selected.........

if <h:selectManyMenu> is changed to <h:selectOneMenu>
then there is a drop down......

can anyone explain this behavior/problem and/or
provide a workaround or alternate method or
suggestions?

also how can size be specified for a <h:selectManyListbox>?
we only want to display 3 even if there's 12 and provide
scrolling for the rest........

hoping for an answer,
jeanne

selectManyMenu defaults to a size of 1, use the size attribute to adjust it

i tried that and was told by jDeveloper 10.1.3 that it was not a valid element for selectManyMenu or selectManyList or selectOneMenu or selectOneList.....

does anyone know why that is?
or anyway to get around it?

Can you just ignore the error message (or does JDeveloper stop you)?

Does JDeveloper come with the JSF libraries or did you have to install them as a library?
