hello,

i have this problem, whenever i invoke the jsf page i get the following messages on my server:

09:52:12,689 INFO [MyfacesConfig] No context init parameter 'org.apache.myfaces.PRETTY_HTML' found, using default value
true
09:52:12,705 INFO [MyfacesConfig] No context init parameter 'org.apache.myfaces.ALLOW_JAVASCRIPT' found, using default
value true
09:52:12,705 INFO [MyfacesConfig] No context init parameter 'org.apache.myfaces.DETECT_JAVASCRIPT' found, using default
value false
09:52:12,705 INFO [MyfacesConfig] No context init parameter 'org.apache.myfaces.AUTO_SCROLL' found, using default value
false

even though i specified these in my web.xml file as follows:

<context-param>
<param-name>myfaces_pretty_html</param-name>
<param-value>true</param-value>
</context-param>

<context-param>
<param-name>myfaces_allow_javascript</param-name>
<param-value>true</param-value>
</context-param>

<context-param>
<param-name>myfaces_allow_designmode</param-name>
<param-value>false</param-value>
</context-param>

Can anyone suggest y this is happening? Do i need to specify something else....?

Thanks,
~M

But why would you expect that to work when you didn't spell your web.xml param-names the same as in your log messages?

i was referring the book "JSF in action by- Kito D. Mann" in that he specifies the initial context parameters to be the one that i gave in the web.xml file.

Thank you for letting me know that the parameter names have to be the same in the web.xml file as what is displayed on the server log. I just replaced and it works fine.

Thanks once again!!
