I have a get collection property in my "request" scoped Managed Bean which takes Date as input parameter to get collection.

In my JSF form I am displaying this collection by using dataTable tag.
I am trying to submit changes to this collection in a jsf form.I am passing date property as jsf input hidden field.When this request goes back to the server (through JSF lifecycle) following sequence of events happen in my managed bean

- getDate() method is called
- getCollection method is called
- setDate is called
- myActionMethod() is called.
The problem is that for my getCollection() method I need the value of date which I don't have( because setDate() is not yet called.)

How can I set the value of date before getCollection method is called.

Found the solution for this. We can get the request parameter from the request scope(from jsf External context) and use it in my managed bean method getCollection().
