how can i use the autocomplete attrubute in input text field?

If autocomplete provided by browser itself is not desirable for you, you can turn it off. This is a primary reason for this attribute. Do not mismatch it with autocomplete functionality like in Google Suggestion.

just i want to turn it off auto complete option when i enter login screen.i was trying to give as below.but it seems there is no property like this in jsf. can you suggest me ?

it depends of the jsf version. autocomplete has been introduced with JSF 1.2 specification.
