moving values

Hi,

I am trying to move items selected from one selectManyListbox to another selectManyListbox by a button click. But I didn't successful as yet. The thing is I cannot display an empty list box. I will get values for the seconf list only when selecting values from the first list box.

code is following :

I tried disabling the second list box...but that doesn't work out. Anyone has a thought about it ?

I got it solved. The selectedDept list should not be null.Should give an empty arraylist.
