Have you reached that part of hf book that discusses on Front Controller pattern?

Struts demonstrates the FC pattern, and so does JSF.

Before JSF, there is no standard on such frameworks.

JSF can complement or work with Struts.

Excuse me for the mistake i made in the subject...It is JSF

Hi ,

Yes, it says Struts is just an front Controller Design Pattern with whistles and bells...

Taking a fine granularity, FC is implemented through the action servlet of Struts...

you said JSF can complement Struts...

What doest it mean...

Where does JSF plug in to the struts...

and where is it appropriate to use this...

There are software requirements which both JSF and Struts solve, but you dont have to choose one of them only, you can try to get the best of both technologies together in one system. Try google 'jsf and struts'.
