Multiple Actions on a Command Button - Error handling  RSS feed

Hello everyone,

I have 3 JSF/JSR 168 portlets in my application. Each of the backend page code bean has error handling implemented. When an exception occurs, the user is redirected to an Error.jsp page which has a command button on it.

I would like to use the same error.jsp for all the 3 portlets. As far as I know, multiple actions on a command button in JSF cannot be implemented.

Next, I was trying to get the portlet title/object id of the portlet on the jsp page and pass it as a parameter on the command button. That way, at the backend based on the parameter I can redirect to the correct page from the error.jsp page.

However, I do not know which (portlet title/objectID- how?)portlet specific parameter should be passed back.

Thank you in advance and I look foward to a few replies.
