I am pretty new to JSF. I created a simple application using JBuilder. It has two jsp pages and one java class. When I run it, I get the following error:

javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: Error getting property 'name' from bean of type valTest.Registration

The thing is, I have accessor and mutator methods in the java source file. I compiled the java source file. The following is a line from faces-config.xml

<managed-bean-class>valTest.Registration</managed-bean-class>

In the classes folder, there is a subfolder named valTest, and in the valTest folder, there is Registration.class.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

Daniel

just confirming.. do you have a getName() method in your backing bean?

beats me. If the getName() function exists, and is public, then I dont see why the bean is complaining about this property.

Do you have another copy of this class in your classpath? (that doesnt have this 'name' attribute) - thats the only thing i can think of
