Can someone point to a reference article or blog which shows the PhaseListener approach of enhancing a JSF component for AJAX.
A simple example on the way it is implemented will suffice

Are you sure you want to program Ajax manually when the ready-to-use solution based on this approach already exist ?

Can you point to a reference which tell about the approach you are referring to .I am not aware of this.
Maybe it will solve my problem.

There are a number of projects in various states of completion that aim to provide AJAX-enabled JSF components, including one backed by IBM.

I suggest you google for them, since I'm too lazy to.
